Link non-users to applications via email

If you report to a team member who doesn’t have access to :Recruit Essentials, you’ll be pleased to know that this won’t stand in the way of timely feedback. Reduced double handling and pesky resume downloads by simply sending your non-user a link to the applications in question. They can go on to view these applications right from their inbox without being asked to log in or have their user profile set up. How to link non-users to applications With :Recruit Essentials, you can loop non-users into the recruitment process with the click of a button. The Bulk External Email function enables you to send your top applications to your team member’s inbox from within :Recruit – no mess or fuss. Step-by-step Login to :Recruit Essentials. In the left-hand navigation panel, select “Jobs” then click through to the job you want to set up. Switch from the “Job” tab to the “Applications” tab, as indicated by Label 1 below. Then, refer to Label 2 below to find the option that suits your purpose: email candidates, email candidates by status, change status in bulk, and so on.

Turn on email notifications for new applications

If you aren’t responding to talented candidates quickly, your competitors are. In a highly competitive candidate market, it’s increasingly important to communicate with applicants quickly and professionally. Reduce the risk of losing out on great candidates with timeous email notifications for new applications. Then, you’re poised to make contact and drive quicker recruitment processes. Never miss another application :Recruit Essentials enables you to turn on email notifications for new applications so that you and your team know exactly what your talent pool looks like at any time. Step-by-step Login to :Recruit Essentials. In the left-hand navigation panel, select “Jobs” then click through to the job you want to set up. Make your way from “General” to “Advanced” in the grey navigation bar below the job number. From there, add recipients and email address as required. Don’t forget to click “Update” before moving on! Here’s an example of what email notifications for new applications may look like in your inbox:

Set up Auto Status to save time shortlisting

Filter your applications without even lifting a finger. Save time and resources for your internal recruitment team member(s) with an easy-to-setup automation that screens applications according to key criteria you select. The key is to set up your screening questions as Radio Button type questions. This type of questions allows candidates to select only one answer per question from a number of predetermined options. Think: multiple choice! Then, with the Auto Status (question based) automation in :Recruit Essentials, you can assign a status to each response to the question. The automation assigns candidates statuses such as “Ineligible” based on core criteria that you select. This helps your team save time on shortlisting & selection by providing a list of pre-screened candidates. How to set up Auto Status (question based) :Recruit Essentials allows you to set up screening questions and use the Auto Status (question based) automation to screen applications based on how they answer those questions. With this automation, hiring managers don’t have to spend time perusing applications that don’t meet core criteria, for example, legitimacy to live and work in Australia, or attainment of certain qualifications.   Step-by-step Login to :Recruit Essentials. In the left-hand navigation panel, select “Jobs” then click through to the job you want to configure. Navigate from “General” to “Auto Statuses” in the Automation section of the sidebar. From there, select “Question Based” and set up your variables. Don’t forget to save your changes before moving on! In the example below, a variable has been added, asking candidates, “Do you have the legal right to live and work in Australia?”. The Auto Status has been configured such that candidates who select “No” will have their application status set to “Does Not Meet Criteria”. This tool is incredibly useful to save time and resources filtering applications from the outset.

Easily include screening questions with SEEK integration

New SEEK Enhanced Solutions available from within :Recruit

It’s increasingly important to make your application process as simple as possible for candidates. Barriers to completing an application include repetitive questions, slow loading time on your website, the inability to save and resume an application at a later time, a careers portal that isn’t mobile friendly, and so on. Even having to log in to multiple accounts, or create new ones in some cases, can lead candidates to drop out of the application process. In a competitive market, you need to collect as many applications as possible for a given role so that you can make informed decisions from a strong talent pool. How to leverage the SEEK integration Most :Recruit Essentials users don’t have “Link – Out” enabled on their SEEK accounts, which means that when candidates click the “Apply” button on a SEEK ad, they’re asked to log into their SEEK accounts. However, our SEEK integration allows you to include the screening questions you’ve created for a job in Essentials within your SEEK job ad. This way, candidates can answer your screening questions upfront! No logins, no frustration. Step-by-step Login to :Recruit Essentials. In the left-hand navigation panel, select “Jobs” then click through to the job you want to set up. Navigate from “General” to “SEEK Integration” in the grey navigation bar below the job number. From there, include your screening questions and scroll down to select “Include Appication Questionnaire (in SEEK)”. Don’t forget to click “Update” before you click away!

Add custom questions to your job ads

Lengthy application processes turn candidates away. In a competitive job market, you can’t afford to lose candidates before they’ve even hit “apply’. Make your job ad as accessible as possible by building custom questions into your job ad, removing the need for a cover letter without cutting you off from vital candidate information. You’ll increase your candidate conversion rate in no time. How to add custom questions :Recruit Essentials allows you to completely tailor the questions on a per-job basis. When used well, hiring managers don’t need to ask for cover letters, as they’ve asked the appropriate questions during the screening process. You can ask job-specific questions and choose the appropriate field response type for each question, including Radio Button, Checkbox, Text, Textarea, Select, Date and Rank. Step-by-step Login to :Recruit Essentials. In the left-hand navigation panel, select “Jobs” then click through to the job you want to set up. Navigate from “General” to “Questions” in the grey navigation bar below the job number. From there, add “new fields” until you have covered all the information you require. Don’t forget to click “Update” before clicking away!
